Refer a Business
Know somewhere this would help?
The hardest part of what we do isn’t finding grants or writing software. It’s getting a small business owner or an executive director to believe that a stranger has found them free money. Coming from you, it doesn’t sound like a pitch.
Send us a name.
Email us the organization, roughly what they do, and who to speak to. We’ll do the grant research before we ever contact them, so they only hear from us if there is genuinely something on the table.
We won’t use your name without asking first, and we won’t pester anyone you point us at. One honest approach, and if the answer is no, that’s the end of it.
What makes a good referral
Small, registered, and quietly drowning in manual work.
A small nonprofit
Food banks, clinics, shelters, arts organizations, youth programs. They have the widest choice of non-repayable funding and usually the least time to chase it.
A local business with a bad website
Or no website. A restaurant with the menu only on a photo, a shop taking bookings by phone, a trade running the schedule out of a notebook.
Anyone still living in spreadsheets
If someone there rebuilds the same report by hand every week, that is a fundable project and they almost certainly don’t know it.
Looking ahead
We’re looking into becoming a nonprofit corporation.
Getting unclaimed funding into the hands of small organizations that need it sits closer to a mission than a business model, and we’re exploring whether a nonprofit structure is the honest way to formalize that. Nothing is decided yet, and we’ll say so plainly here when it is.
Today, Johnson Ecommerce LLC is a for-profit limited liability company.
Here for your own organization?
